Welcome from the Director
The James E. Lynch India and South Asia Business Centre (ISABC) was created in 2004 under the Strategic Research Infrastructure Fund (SRIF) II scheme. It was formally inaugurated by the High Commissioner of India in the UK, His Excellency Kamalesh Sharma and the University of Leeds' Vice Chancellor Professor Michael Arthur in 2006.
The ISABC is a university-based business centre focusing on the South Asia region. It gives a flavour of the ‘intellectual and cultural buzz' to its audience. With its niche focus on South Asia, the Centre offers a friendly and warm welcome to students and businesses originating or moving to South Asia.
The Centre has a vivid plan for expansion for the near future and I welcome individuals and organisations who share similar interest to come and collaborate with us. I especially invite young students to become volunteers and share the Centre’s success story.
