Robert's research interests centre on human resource management and small businesses. He focuses in particular on exploring the nature of employment relationships in small firms and the role played by factors such as organisational objectives, client influence, and employee-management interactions. These themes are discussed in his PhD research at the School of Management.
He is a Member of the British Academy of Management.
