How did you hear about the Business School?

I studied for my undergraduate degree at the University of Leeds and during this period I heard more and more about the Business School's excellent reputation.

What appealed to you about the course?

The fact that the modules taught on this course were highly relevant to the skills required for the type of job I am looking for once I graduate was important for me. Finally, this course was the only course I found that offered a week long trading workshop, which is something I am strongly looking forward to.

What is the best part of your studies here – what are you enjoying the most?

The best part of my studies is probably the support you get from your lecturers. They are all welcoming and easily approachable so if I ever am unsure about anything I know they will be happy to help.

What are your career aspirations?

I am keen to build a career in either investment or corporate finance. Before starting the module, Corporate Finance, my career aspirations were to get into some sort of an investment role. By taking this module I have been able to develop many of the skills required for this career. It has also opened me up to a career in corporate finance too which I had not considered before.

What is your experience of the student experience at Leeds?

This is my fourth year of studying at the University of Leeds and I have found it very enjoyable. The City of Leeds has lots to offer with good night life, shopping and plenty of restaurants to explore and being in Yorkshire there are lots of nearby towns and cities that are worth a visit.

The facilities in the Business School are all of a very high standard, everything is very modern and they are constantly improving them.

The staff and peers are all very friendly here which has been a major reason I have stayed here so long and the union has all sorts in there, including two separate bars and a night club.

Are there any other noteworthy experiences during your time at the Business School?

Since being at the Business School I have been a member of the University's Trading and Investment Society who regularly have important guest speakers come in as well as offering much more.

I have also played for the intramural football team on Sundays and gone on weekend/ day trips to nearby places such as Whitby, York and Harrogate.

What would you say your defining memory of studying here is?

I would say my defining memory would be making friends with people from all different backgrounds across the world. The Business School has such a diverse range of students and staff that you get to hear all sorts of interesting stories and get to learn from the different cultures.

Would you recommend the Business School to others?

Yes, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and am far more confident in my abilities and I am sure others would too.
