Marks and Spencer CFO delivers talk to students
Last month we were delighted to welcome back to the Business School, Jeremy Townsend, Chief Financial Officer at M&S as he delivered a guest talk to our students as part of the MBA Masterclass series.
Jeremy talked about his career to date and and highlighted the challenges and achievements throughout it, as well as talking more specifically about strategies and advice for performance in the boardroom and top tips for being an effective leader. Jeremy then spent time with the students answering questions on a range of topics from Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) to the importance of values to a business.
Richard Hodgett, MBA Director commented
Jeremy shared his career insights and offered valuable advice to our MBA students. His expertise and knowledge made him an incredibly insightful and well-informed speaker. His personal stories and experiences truly resonated with everyone, making the session both engaging and inspiring.
Anna France, Senior Relationship and Partnerships Manager said: “This is the second year running that Jeremy has delivered a guest talk to our MBA students and we are grateful for Jeremy sharing his time and expertise with us. It is fantastic to engage with Marks and Spencer on opportunities like this particularly given the fact that the M&S Archive is based on campus and there are strong links between the university and the business”.
