Studying Management at Leeds University Business School

Welcome from the Programme Director

Nick Jackson

Hello, I'm Dr Nick Jackson and I am the Programme Director for the BA Management.

This programme offers a range of exciting opportunities and I am passionate about helping every student maximise their full potential. One of the benefits of the BA Management is the multi-disciplinary approach;. our modules lead to a better understanding of people and systems management at all levels. Many of our academics have industry experience, meaning you will learn interactively using academic theory in an applied nature.

You’ll study modules such as Starting Your Own Business, where interactive teaching will allow you to delve into the issues of planning, financing, managing and operating your own virtual company, as well as Organisational Behaviour and The Contemporary Business Environment.

Your professional development is important to us and we believe BA Management opens up a broad range of career options. You will be able to explore various aspects of industry through our networks with industry leaders and benefit from their specialist knowledge.

You’ll have the opportunity to benefit from our Leaders in Residence programme in your first and second year, which is offered exclusively to BA Management students. Here you’ll join workshops with business leaders and gain valuable insight into the corporate environment, including tips for interviews and assessment centres. Our students consistently feedback that the programme has helped them understand and apply academic knowledge, and has ultimately helped them secure a range of careers with companies like O2, IBM, KPMG, RSM, Jaguar Land-Rover as well as SMEs.

You can contact me to find out more about the programme by emailing our admissions team.
