Dr Burcak Ozoglu

Burcak is on a temporary leave from her position as an Instructor at the Business Administration Program at Middle East Technical University (METU) Northern Cyprus Campus.

Burcak received her BS degree in Management from Middle East Technical University (METU) and then she proceeded in the field of Industrial Relations with MA and PhD at Ankara University. During her PhD studies she has spent 9 months at the International Center for Labour Studies of The University of Manchester, as a visiting student.

She worked first as a teaching assistant then upon receiving her PhD degree, as an Instructor at the Ankara University for ten years then resigned for a job at TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). During her employment at TUBITAK she continued teaching part-time this time at METU.

Besides her academic experiences she has been involved in managerial and administrative consultancy about organizational issues in different sectors and she has participated several trade union trainings as an instructor in Turkey.

Lastly, alongside her professional occupations she is a high altitude mountaineer and an ultra trail runner.
