How did you hear about the Business School and why did you choose to study here?
I initially heard about Leeds University Business School at a graduate fair that I attended in London. The university advisor at the stand was so helpful and informative. Later, from my personal research, I found that Leeds offered the exact course that would help me with my career aspirations.
What is the best part of your studies? What are you enjoying the most?
The best part of my studies is that I get to learn about new and relevant innovations in the field. Some of the modules on my course really focus on the practical element of strategy and innovation and this is really helpful because I feel equipped to use the skills gained in the workplace.
I have enjoyed modules that have involved collaboration with my fellow students. Working in teams has helped me become a more effective communicator.
What would you say your defining memory of studying here was?
To date, it would be my personal development. I feel so much more confident than I did at the start of the course because I am constantly learning and being challenged.
I find it easier to deliver presentations, to express my ideas and to network professionally. These have been personal goals which I was able to meet by taking on an active role and making the most of every opportunity given to me.
I now feel equipped to use the skills I have gained at Leeds in the workplace, thanks to my Professional Development Tutor and the professional practice experienced on my course.
Would you recommend the Business School to others who are considering studying here?
Yes, my experience has been very positive. The wide range of courses is fantastic – you can find something to suit all areas of business, and be assured of a very high quality of teaching.
