Firstly, the programme gives a great deal of business knowledge that will help us to analyse business data in the future, but more importantly, it connects us with talented people from all over the world who will help us to build our careers together in the future.

How has your career progressed since leaving the Business School? Have there been any notable highlights?
With a degree from the University of Leeds I was able to find a job in a large local internet company, where my colleagues were graduates from excellent universities in various regions, and where they exchanged ideas and learnt from each other to help them progress more quickly.

Where are you currently working, and what is your role?
I am currently working for Vipshop, as a business person to negotiate with suppliers and adjust the product structure according to the market demand and trends.

What are your ambitions for the future?
Wanted to start my own business after gaining some experience in a large company.

Do you think your experience and skills gained here will help you in your future career plans? In what way?
Yes, through the combination of data analysis and customer perception, the content of the course can help me better discover the needs and preferences of consumers, and it helps me a lot in seeking business opportunities.

If you are not from the UK, how was the transition to a foreign country? Did the university offer support or services that you found helpful? Can you offer any advice?
The University of Leeds has a good reputation in my country, which has helped me in my career development, but the alumni organisations in China rarely hold events and there is not a strong connection between alumni, which will hopefully improve in the future!

What was your impression/experience of the facilities, the staff, your peers, the student union, the City of Leeds and the region itself? What would you recommend to future students?
Leeds is a great city to live in, with convenient facilities and beautiful surroundings; the University of Leeds has a great atmosphere for learning, and the staff are friendly and enthusiastic, giving me a lot of warmth during my study. I hope that future students will also participate in the university's community activities and have a fulfilling and meaningful campus life!

What would you say is your defining memory of studying here? (eg friendships made, confidence in your abilities, or any single event that you will always remember?) And would you recommend the Business School to others?
Of course, at Leeds Business School you will gain not only professional knowledge, but also more thinking about the direction of your own life; the social skills, ability to plan and think during the period of study will benefit a person for life!
