Tell us about your degree - why did you choose it? What elements of the degree inspired you to study it?
The MSc Economics and Management course is well-organised. My degree's economics side integrates economic theory into real-world circumstances by applying it to current issues. Behavioural economics was the most fascinating module in Economics for me. Being able to apply theories as cognitive biases and social preferences to markets, as well as examine how people's behaviours are biased and changed, has enabled me to have a better understanding of society and the world. Management courses involve the study of almost all main issues of operating an organisation, which helped me comprehend the complexities of business while also enhancing my employability.

What was the best part of your studies here? What did you enjoy the most?
I liked the variety of modules and the amount of help I got from my tutors and professors. Students at Leeds could also select optional and discovery modules, and in my second and third years, I picked Cantonese as one of my discovery modules.

What were your career aspirations when you arrived? Do you think the experience and skills you gained here will help/helped you in your future career plans? In what way?
In terms of career plans, my long-term ambition is to work in a consulting firm, but I am open to different opportunities. I'm also considering pursuing a master's degree.

What are your ambitions for the future?
I am currently looking for work in P&G's Consumer and Market Knowledge department. I hope to get the job, and I am confident that the skills I gained while studying economics and management at Leeds would be extremely useful.

Do you think your experience and skills gained here will help you in your future career plans? In what way?
The Business School gave me with several opportunities to expand my knowledge and gain experience. My adaptability and communication abilities have greatly improved over my time at Leeds.

If you are not from the UK, how was the transition to a foreign country? Did the university offer support or services that you found helpful? Can you offer any advice?
The staff and student representatives are really helpful and supportive, and they will help you have a lovely experience at the University of Leeds.

What was your impression/experience of the facilities, the staff, your peers, the student union, the City of Leeds and the region itself? What would you recommend to future students?
All of the facilities at the university are wonderful. There are many study or work spaces on campus, as well as great spots to grab food or have a coffee.

What would you say is your defining memory of studying here? (eg friendships made, confidence in your abilities, or any single event that you will always remember?) And would you recommend the Business School to others?
I would definitely recommend Leeds University Business School to everyone as a fantastic place to study; there are no words to describe how much I have grown over my time at university. There are many opportunities and resources offered to you, and you will gain knowledge, friends, and have a great time here.

What did your experience with Leeds International Study Centre give you?
My year in Leeds International Study Centre was my first year abroad. Living and studying there required me to communicate effectively in a variety of contexts, which allowed me to obtain a multitude of experiences and abilities that benefited my personal and academic development.

Did you enjoy the experience and did the experience help you with your future career success?
I had a great time at Leeds International Study Centre. During my period there, I learned a variety of professional skills, including communication, group work, and time management, which helped me in adapting to university life and the internship.
