Tell us about your degree - why did you choose it? What elements of the degree inspired you to study it?
I studied BSc Economics from LUBS. My love for numbers and banking systems led me to choose BSc Econ

What was the best part of your studies here? What did you enjoy the most?
Overall my time at Leeds has been fantastic. The best part of my studies was learning from my professors - the passion with which they taught us, is the reason I started to love my course

What were your career aspirations when you arrived? Do you think the experience and skills you gained here will help/helped you in your future career plans? In what way?
Yes 110% I am who and where I am because of my degree and professors.

How has your career progressed since leaving the Business School? Have there been any notable highlights?
I started my internship the day after my final exam in June 2018. I was then employed by Virtusa (an IT consultancy company) - wherein I expanded my horizon in Finance. After working in Finance for 4 years, i then started working in virtusa’s the client site for Lloyds Banking Group as a Business Operations Manager

Where are you currently working, and what is your role?
I current work for Virtusa’s client site at Lloyds Banking Group as the Business Operations Manager

What are your ambitions for the future?
To keep learning in life and to grow myself and my career most importantly

Do you think your experience and skills gained here will help you in your future career plans? In what way?
Yes 110%. Leeds has been a very important part of my life, it is my home away from home. Leeds has not only helped me academically, but helped me grow personally.

If you are not from the UK, how was the transition to a foreign country? Did the university offer support or services that you found helpful? Can you offer any advice?
Yes it did. No issues in that

What was your impression/experience of the facilities, the staff, your peers, the student union, the City of Leeds and the region itself? What would you recommend to future students?
Yes of course. I always recommend LUBS to be first for anyone’s choice

What would you say is your defining memory of studying here? (eg friendships made, confidence in your abilities, or any single event that you will always remember?) And would you recommend the Business School to others?
I think the most important thing I will always remember is learning from my mistakes. The good and bad both taught me so much and helped me grow in life. The friendships made stay with me forever
