LUBS alum wins Best Paper Award

Congratulations to Dr Mingchu Wang who has been awarded the Best Paper Award by the Journal of Business Venturing Insights Entrepreneurship Academy 2022 hosted by IE Business School.

Mingchu’s paper, “Bosses or Buddies: Does Friendship Influence Leader Identity in Entrepreneurial Ventures?” provides some practical tips for early-stage ventures and entrepreneurs through analysing how friendships affected start-up entrepreneurs’ identities, their relationships and business.

Mingchu, who is both an entrepreneur and academic researcher, described winning the award as a great honour, and added

As a trained cognitive psychologist interested in tackling entrepreneurial challenges in the global setting, this is an absolutely valuable recognition that motivates me to carry on conducting rigorous and impactful entrepreneurship research.
