How did you hear about the Business School and why did you choose to study here?
Two friends of mine recommended the University to me (one spent a semester here as an exchange student and the other studied her undergraduate program at Leeds). Also, I found that Leeds University Business School offered several MScs that I was very interested in, with high rankings are accreditations.
What is the best part of your studies? What are you enjoying the most?
I am really enjoying the practical nature of the assignments, especially in the second semester. We are developing real-life consultancy skills by working on strategic projects. The modules complement each other - some provide the theoretical framework which is then applied in other, more practical subjects. I like how seminars promote teamwork and cooperating with people from different cultural, age and academic backgrounds. The classes are very dynamic and the professors are very well prepared and engaged. All of these aspects enrich the whole learning experience.
What are your career aspirations? Do you think the experience and skills you will gain on your course will help you in your future career plans? In what way?
At the moment I am thinking about developing a career in consulting or continuing my studies and pursue a PhD.
However, during these months I have learned very useful and practical skills, I feel more prepared to go into the world of business.
What is your impression/experience of the facilities, the staff, your peers, the student union, the City of Leeds and the Yorkshire region?
The staff are very kind and friendly, and will always be willing to help. I am really grateful. I feel like Leeds University Business School is a community and everyone can find their place here.
What would you say your defining memory of studying here was? (eg friendships made, confidence in your abilities, or any single event that you will always remember?)
Friendships made from all around the world. In several months, they become your family.
Would you recommend the Business School to others who are considering studying here?
I would definitely recommend the Business School to everyone. The facilities are great, the staff are amazing, the professors are fully engaged, and the courses offered are of a very high quality.
