How did you hear about Leeds University Business School and why did you choose to study here? 
Leeds University Business School was recommended by a former lecturer of mine. Then I had a look at the programme and immediately identified with it. Furthermore, the admissions process was very smooth and the staff were very helpful in their answers.

Tell us about your course – why did you choose it? What elements of the course inspired you to study here? 
The course Global Supply Chain Management links management modules with international business. In my opinion this is the right approach as national boundaries aren't a major concern for supply chains. In my previous profession in the shipping industry I experienced a lot of international and intercultural contact, which I always found very exciting. This programme gives me the opportunity to continue sharing intercultural experiences, especially in the module Management in Practice where we have 27 different nationalities present.

What would you say to anyone considering applying for a scholarship?
It’s worth giving it a try and if you are not sure about what scholarship fits you, ask the University.

What are the best things about your studies here – what are you enjoying the most? 
I am a really sociable person and I really enjoy having so many people around me. Leeds is in the middle of the UK and therefore it’s quite convenient to spend a weekend either in London or Edinburgh (or somewhere else).

What are your career aspirations? Do you have any plans for when you finish your Masters? How do you think the experience and skills you are getting at the Business School will help you in your future career? 
A module I studied during my undergraduate degree has made me curious about supply chain management. As this is quite linked with shipping, I developed a greater interest and I wanted to learn more. I am fascinated by flexible supply chains are how they are managed today and therefore I am seeking to be responsible for managing supply chains one day. The close contact with active researchers, and very practice-related examples, are making me very confident about achieving my goals once I leave the Business School. 

What has been your experience of the facilities, the staff, your peers, the city of Leeds and the Yorkshire region? 
The facilities are very state of the art. As well as my peers, the staff are always nice and very helpful. Leeds has a very nice nightlife which is great for networking. Yorkshire itself is beautiful and is definitely worth visiting over a couple of trips.

Are there any experiences outside of your studies that you particularly enjoy? e.g. participation in extra-curricular activities or groups, enterprise activities, nightlife, the region’s historic places of interest.
I am a student representative, which challenges me to coordinate and communicate a lot. I really enjoy working with staff and my peers, and I am sure that it helps me to further develop my intercultural skills, as there are 9 different nationalities present in the Global Supply Chain Management programme.

Would you recommend the Business School to others who are considering studying here? 
Yes – definitely!
