How did you hear about the Business School and why did you choose to study here?
I discovered Leeds University Business School while researching good universities to study at postgraduate level in the UK. I realized how an MSc in Business Analytics & Decision Sciences was tailored to match my needs with regards to my academic & career goals.
What is the best part of your studies? What are you enjoying the most?
The best part about the degree is how well it has been structured in terms of available courses. The mix of technicality along with practical application provides me with the right tools to achieve my career goals.
What are your career aspirations? Do you think the experience and skills you will gain on your course will help you in your future career plans? In what way?
My aim is to be the link between management and the technical team in a multinational corporation. Starting as a Business Analyst, my next milestone would be to become a Data Scientist. So, pursuing an MSc in Business Analytics & Decision Sciences has laid the foundation for me to fulfil my professional goals.
Do you have any noteworthy achievements from your study at the Business School that you can tell us about eg prizes, highest scores etc?
My first noteworthy achievement here at the Business School was when my peers voted me to be Course Representative for MSc Business Analytics & Decision Sciences. This showed their faith in me to represent them and their views to the Management.
What is your impression/experience of the facilities, the staff, your peers, the student union, the City of Leeds and the Yorkshire region?
My experience so far has been very satisfactory. The staff are friendly and responsive. I have made friends from different parts of the world which has been an enriching experience. In short, Leeds has been very welcoming to me and made me feel as one of its own.
What would you say your defining memory of studying here was? (eg friendships made, confidence in your abilities, or any single event that you will always remember?)
The defining memory of studying here at Leeds University Business School would be developing converting theoretical expertise to practical applications, which has made me more confident about my professional aspirations.
Would you recommend the Business School to others who are considering studying here?
Yes, I would definitely recommend Leeds University Business School to anyone who wants to pursue a career in Business Analytics and Decision Sciences.
