  • Summary: Undergraduate entry requirements for students studying the South African National Senior Certificate (NSC)

For degrees requiring AAA or AAB at A-level: The South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Matriculation Endorsement at Grade 12 is acceptable for entry onto our degree courses. Applicants must achieve 77766 (or AAABB), with a minimum of 5 in English Language. A minimum grade of 6 in Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) is necessary for courses requiring GCSE grade A/7 or 5 for courses requiring GCSE grade B/5.

The International Secondary Certificate (ISC) is also acceptable for entry
Applicants must achieve AAABB with a minimum of B in English Language. A minimum grade of A in Mathematics is necessary for courses requiring GCSE grade A/7 or B for courses requiring GCSE grade B/5.
