Research interests
Dr. Weller received his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Iowa (US) in 2007. Since then, his research has broadly focused on how affective and cognitive processes contribute to decision-making and risk perceptions. More specifically, he studies individual differences in the perception of uncertainty and how individuals make rational choices, both in terms of how these tendencies develop, as well as the factors that may contribute to more effective decision-making. Currently, he is working on projects related to dispositional greed and identity processes, and how these relate to real-life decision making and psychological well-being over the adult lifespan.
He has worked on projects that have been funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, the American Automobile Association Foundation, UK Food Standards Agency, and the National Institute of Drug Abuse (US).
Dr. Weller is currently available to supervise Ph.D. projects. Please send an email for more information.
