Siran Wang

Profile

I am a postgraduate candidate at Leeds University Business School within the Analytics, Technology and Operations department. Before joining Leeds, I earned a Master’s degree in Data Science from Durham University, UK. My academic path has been shaped by a strong passion for programming, business analytics, and interdisciplinary research, driving me to explore how digital footprint can help us better understand human behaviour.

Research interests

My current research examines the behavioural and decision-making patterns of individuals with addiction, using techniques in big data analytics, psychological experiments, and machine learning modelling. I am particularly focused on developing quantitative models to predict and describe behavioural and psychological traits, such as personality, from unstructured data sources like text. With a cross-disciplinary approach, I aim to uncover hidden patterns within data, offering insights and providing innovative, data-driven solutions.
