How did you hear about the Business School and why did you choose to study here?

I actually chose Leeds University Business School for my undergraduate degree, and decided to continue at Leeds for Masters level. The most important factor for me is flexibility and choice in within the course. The Business School is a very prestigious place to study, and my degree is world-class, which opens up many options post-graduation.

What is the best part of your studies? What are you enjoying the most?

I really enjoy the hands-on focused applied nature of the assignments, so we can apply the theory and learn in a practical way.

Beyond the classroom, the Business School offers lots of opportunities to develop yourself - volunteering, awards, and extra-curricular schemes. I was a student representative for my course, and was voted Student Representative of the Year - presented to one student out of over 650 course and school (i.e. faculty) representatives.

Do you have any noteworthy achievements from your study at the Business School that you can tell us about - eg prizes, highest scores etc?

Research
I will be presenting my research in the Houses of Parliament on 20 February 2018. I am looking forward to presenting but also the learning and networking opportunities at this prestigious event. I will also be presenting at three academic conferences over this acaemic year.

Positive Impact Award
Winner of the Business School Positive Impact Award category and shortlisted for the University Positive Impact Award category. I was the only student out of 34,000 to make the shortlist in 2016/17.

Dean's Prize for Citizenship
This prize is awarded to a final year undergraduate student for outstanding service or contributions - such as those listed above.

What is your impression/experience of the facilities, the staff, your peers, the student union, the City of Leeds and the Yorkshire region?

The academic staff at Leeds University Business School are fantastic, really know their stuff, as the awards and accreditations show, so we in turn become more knowledgeable about our area of study and the wider business world.
