The ‘Ideas in Practice’ Supply Chain Summit is an annual forum for supply chain professionals and senior academic researchers to exchange knowledge about the latest thinking and developments in supply chain management. Running since 2017, it is hosted by Leeds University Business School’s Centre for Operations and Supply Chain Research.
Global supply chains today have become Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear and Incomprehensible (BANI) thanks to the ongoing polycrisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, Ukraine war and the cost-of-living crisis. Current strategies for supply chain risk management are no longer sufficient given the unprecedented nature of global events. This Supply Chain Summit aims to address these ongoing risks and offer expert advice on how to increase supply chain resiliency for robust recovery.
The programme includes Dr Omera Khan (Maersk) as the keynote speaker, followed by presentations from legal expert Ian Skinner (Squire Patton Boggs) and supply chain expert Chee Yew Wong (Leeds University Business School), as well as a roundtable discussion and a panel session with industry professionals and academics. It will close with a networking buffet dinner and a drinks reception.
