About the webinar

Professor Gary Dymski has been working on the challenges of creating a socially and ecologically sustainable economy at local, national, and global levels since arriving at the Leeds University Business School in 2012. The COVID-19 crisis now complicates these already formidable challenges: while it has highlighted our reliance on public services, it has decimated industry cash-flows and tax revenues. What comes next? There can be no return to ‘business as usual’. We must invent our own economic and social future, starting now. Looking back at what was done or not done in the aftermath of World War II and of the 2008 subprime crisis provides some guidance.

There will be ample opportunity to take part in the discussion, sharing your views on the issues currently affecting business and society today.
