Professor Buckley receives fourth honorary degree
Professor Peter Buckley OBE, FBA (Centre for International Business University of Leeds) is to be awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws at Carleton University, Ottowa, Canada in June.
Professor Buckley has a long association with Canada and has published a book and articles on Canada-UK bilateral trade and investment relations.
This accolade is the fourth honorary degree to be presented to Professor Buckley. He has received previous honours from Uppsala University, Sweden; Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland and Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.
Professor Buckley said:
I am delighted to be in receipt of an Honorary degree from the Sprott School of Business in Carleton University. Canada has a long tradition of innovative work on foreign direct investment and the multinational enterprise, going back to the very inception of the academic study of international business, so it is a particular honour to be given this accolade.
