TOSCA Seminar Series

July Seminar Events.

On 2 July, we had the pleasure of hosting Michael and Eivor at TOSCA for an interactive workshop on industry engagement and consortium building. The workshop generated valuable insights and stimulating discussions on engagement, collaboration, and research impact.

We were also delighted to hold an in-person event, “Building Knowledge for the AI Era: Research, Publishing and Collaboration,” on 3 July, featuring an outstanding panel of speakers and contributors, including Michael, Eivor, Federico, and Rohit.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Julia, followed by an engaging presentation by Michael and Eivor on “Organisational Futures in the AI Era.” Federico also delivered an excellent presentation entitled “AI Vigilance in Policing: A Typology Theory.”

Wenjuan, Linhao, Yujia, Emma, and Emma showcased their research on AI ethics, AI-induced mechanisation, explainable AI for credit risk, and digital time escapes in policing, respectively, representing the diverse and impactful AI-related research being undertaken by TOSCA members.

The “Meet the Editors” session was particularly insightful, fostering rich discussions and providing valuable advice and suggestions on publishing and research dissemination.

We would like to thank all of our internal and external participants for making the event engaging, informative, and highly interactive. Special thanks go to Jyoti for her excellent work in organising this successful event.
