Interdisciplinary Leader Award nomination for Professor Buckley
Professor Peter Buckley has been nominated for the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management’s (EIASM) Interdisciplinary Leader Award.
The accolade will be the third such to be awarded since its launch in 2016. The award acknowledges individuals who have made exemplary contributions in interdisciplinary research.
EIASM believes “interdisciplinary research is essential to further develop management as a field that is able to advance theoretically, to provide relevant knowledge for students and practitioners, and to ultimately help to deal with the grand and highly complex challenges of contemporary society.”
Professor Buckley is a Professor of International Business and Founder Director of both the Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds (CIBUL) and the Business Confucius Institute at the University of Leeds. He commented: ”It is wonderful to be nominated for an award for the interdisciplinary nature of my work as this is the essence of successful research in the international business field.“
The Award will be presented at a seminar in Brussels in September 2019.
