Alumna shares insights with MBA cohort

The Business School welcomed back to campus Roopu Krishna (MBA 2017) to talk to students and inspire the next generation.

It’s seven years since Roopu Krishna, Vice President at an investment bank, returned to the Leeds campus, but she was delighted to return to LUBS in October and speak to the current MBA cohort about her career insights.

As part of a programme of professional insights from alumni and business experts, the MBAs learnt about how Roopu has developed her own intercultural competencies and advocates for equal opportunities in management practices, as well as insight into how the MBA programme helped to further develop her career in India. The session was followed with a lively Q&A, where students were able to talk to Roopu about her career journey and challenges.

Roopu said of her visit,

Reflecting on my own MBA journey and seeing the ambition and energy of the students today was truly rewarding. We exchanged insights on importance of adaptability, and the impact of continuous learning in an ever-evolving world. Continuously updating yourself is key to staying in an ever-evolving world. Growth begins when comfort ends. Challenge yourselves not just to achieve but to evolve.
