New MBA Social and Learning Space Opens at Leeds University Business School

Leeds MBA students now have a dedicated space designed to match the pace, intensity, and collaborative nature of one of the Business School’s flagship programmes.

Purpose-built, the new hub brings together flexible study areas, formal meeting rooms, comfortable lounge zones, and a communal dining area.  The Leeds MBA entails over 500 hours of delivery, now students have somewhere to work, meet and recharge between classes.

A Welcoming Space for MBA Students and Industry Guests

The Leeds MBA is built around real-world learning, group projects and industry engagement, and the new space reflects exactly that.
Designed to support everything from team discussions and individual study to developing personal ventures, the facilities cater to a wide range of working styles. It also provides a professional setting for connecting with industry leaders visiting through the MBA Masterclass series, enhancing both learning and networking opportunities.

Strengthening the MBA Community

One of the defining features of an MBA is the network you build. By creating a shared and accessible space for both academic and social interaction, the new hub helps foster stronger relationships and a more connected cohort experience.

Milly Metcalfe, MBA Programme Manager commented:

It’s been fantastic to see the MBA Lounge quickly become a valuable space for our students. From hosting guest speakers such as Rachel Lord from BlackRock and industry-led activities like Tim Chapman’s sales challenge, to a collaborative hub as students prepared for their final Capstone Showcase presentations. It’s already made a real impact on our MBA community, and we look forward to building on this momentum for next year.

This new MBA space is a clear investment in the student experience, giving future business leaders the environment they need to collaborate, connect, and succeed.
