Inge Giesolf

Profile

Inge holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems and Information Management and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Management. In her doctoral project, she researches Smart City initiatives related to policing in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands context. Specifically, she examines current practices around interagency collaboration, data sharing, citizen engagement, and barriers to digitisation.

In 2019, she contributed as a subject matter expert to a Deloitte-led project on digital transformation in policing, which informed a digital roadmap for police forces across the United Kingdom.

Research interests

Inge’s research is rooted in the field of Information Systems, with a particular focus on digital innovation and governance. She is interested in how digital tools shape organisational practices, including interagency collaboration, data sharing, and citizen engagement. Her work draws on qualitative methods and sociotechnical perspectives to examine processes of digital transformation, which she has examined through the lens of policing and its partner organisations, such as local authorities and community groups. She is committed to producing research that supports evidenceinformed decisionmaking and aims to apply her expertise to future roles.
