Profile
Zhenzhen (Nikita) Wang is a PhD researcher in Information Systems and Information Management at the University of Leeds. Her work explores how agency develops in human-AI interaction, focusing on socio-material dynamics through which humans and autonomous systems coordinate actions, particularly in high-stakes activities. Autonomous driving serves as her primary empirical context.
She holds an MBA degree from Durham University and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Renmin University of China. Before joining academia, she accumulated over 13 years of experience in digital strategy, platform ecosystems, and organizational transofmation. Serving in senior roles at EssilorLuxottica, Tencent, and Alibaba Group, she gained valuable insights into leading new technology launches, digital transformation initiatives, and their socio-technicall implications.
