Profile

Zhenzhen has a industrial background in digital strategy, digital media and marketing, and is currently transitioning into academia as a PhD researcher in Information Systems and Information Management at the University of Leeds. Holding an MBA degree from Durham University and backed by 13 years of practitioner experience at leading organization such as EssilorLuxxotica Group and Tencent, she has gained valuable insights into leading complex digital transformation initiatives and its social-technicall implications.

 

Research interests

Zhenzhen’s industrial experience has inspired her academic pursuits, focusing on how digital technologies shape social and business practices. Her current research interest lies in the intricate relationship between humans and technologies, with a particular emphasis on how technology affects human agency and decision-making.

Drawing from her hands-on engagement with digital platforms, she is motivated to investigate the evolving relationship between human and technology (machines/tools), the disruptive impact of technology in individual’s daily life, and its broader social implications. Her current research focuses on human-AI interactions. She is also deeply curious about the materiality of information systems such as algorithmic system and AI, and is committed to understanding their impacts on societal practices.
