Business networking event connects students with industry experts
Human Resource Management students joined industry experts, bridging study and work.
Human Resource Management students at Leeds University Business School had an opportunity to connect with industry professionals this month, thanks to a networking session hosted as part of the Leaders in Residence programme.
This brought together recruitment and HR experts to share their career journeys and practical advice with final year BA Business Management and the Human Resource students preparing to enter the work of work.
In the workshop, students were asked to consider topics such as commercial awareness, career next steps and values.
Many thanks to our experienced Leaders in Residence and alumni, whose contributions made the event both inspiring and informative.
Reflecting on the success of the event, Marianne Savory, Director of Student Experience and Opportunities at Leeds University Business School said:
It was fantastic to host this event, and see our HR students engaging so confidently with professionals from the field. These sessions are all about bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world experience, and today’s collaboration was a brilliant example of that in action.
With over 120 business professionals now part of the Leaders in Residence network, the programme continues to expand across more modules and disciplines.
