How can you take charge of your career and employability in a competitive labour market? How can you best develop your career path? Do you need to upskill and reskill?

Join our expert alumni panel to discuss career recruitment processes and opportunities, top tips for success and insight into the current job market. This session will be facilitated by Leeds University Business School Director of Student Opportunity, Experience and Success, Associate Professor Tao Jiang.

This event will provide you with a valuable opportunity for Leeds University Business School alumni to hear from fellow graduates on how they have negotiated the next step in their careers, as well as to ask questions and pick up some tips.

The alumni panel will be followed by networking and refreshments, where you will have the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni in a relaxed environment.

Lily Yin is currently a partner at CGL Consulting, Shanghai and has over 20 years of seasonal recruitment experiences by leading teams focus on business development and execution of middle-high headhunting services in various industries including Consumer Goods, Retail, Internet, Finance and Banking as well as Technology and Manufacturing.

Jiayun Huang (MA Human Resource Management, 2016)
HR Supervisor at AIG

Jiayun Huang

Jiayun Huang oversees recruitment operations at her current role of HR Supervisor at AIG (American International Group), Shanghai. Her role gives her a comprehensive understanding of the skills and attributes that make candidates stand out in today’s competitive job market. Jiayun Huang is also Xiaohongshu blogger, sharing work skills, career planning, and tips to help personal growth. She is genuinely passionate about guiding and supporting her fellow alumni in their professional journeys. Her previous role was at Fudan University as a HR specialist.

Jasmine Lyu (MA Human Resources Management, 2020)
Talent Acuisition, Standard Chartered Bank

Jasmine has been working in Standard Chartered Bank for more than 2 years and is currently serving in Talent Acquisition. Prior to this, she worked as associate recruiter in Korn Ferry, one of the largest recruitment companies in the world, for the project assigned to New Development Bank, a multilateral development institution as established by the BRICS countries. Both experiences have given her a great amount of exposure to incredibly diverse, international and multicultural working environments. Jasmine also joined Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) along with her outstanding academic achievements at the University of Leeds in the UK.
