Susanne Marchant

Profile

Susanne Marchant, our Head of Enterprise Programmes, is an established industry professional who brings a wealth of experience to the University of Leeds. Having designed and supported executive education programmes for public and private sector organisations for more than 25 years, she combines a wide range of skills focusing on the development of new business, programme management and team leadership.

Working in the healthcare sector in 1994, Susanne undertook the role of Executive MBA Co-ordinator for the Nuffield Institute for Health, a programme linked to the Leeds University Business School (LUBS). Continuing to deliver executive education to the healthcare sector alongside Leeds University for the next fifteen years, Susanne was formally asked to join LUBS in 2010 as Corporate Relations and Projects Manager.

As part of the LUBS team, Susanne managed executive education programmes for the School’s clients, including the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Programme, which was piloted and delivered by the University of Leeds. Susanne helped develop and deliver this innovative programme, contributing to its academic element and overseeing participant recruitment.

Building on this successful collaboration, Susanne also conducted research into Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women’s Programme – a groundbreaking business education initiative available to all women around the world – identifying the successes of the existing programme and how content and participant experience could be improved.

A proven go-to professional for SME executive education, Susanne’s recent projects have included the development of Help to Grow – a management leadership course for SME business owners – and the delivery of The Family Business Leadership Academy in partnership with KPMG, a programme tailor-made for future family business leaders.
