Leeds alumnus in top 100 African business leaders

Achumile Majija (MBA 2010) has been selected in the ‘Choiseul 100 Africa’, a list of the 100 most promising African business leaders aged 40 and under.

For the 9th year running, the Institut Choiseul has revealed the 100 most promising African business leaders aged 40 and under and we are delighted to see that Leeds University Business School alumnus, Achumile Majija (MBA 2010) has been ranked 29th in their list.

Achumile, who is based in South Africa, is currently Chief Executive for Strategic Initiatives and Market Expansion (West and South Africa) for Prudential. 

It’s an honour to be selected in the Choiseul 100 Africa 2022 ranking, and to be considered among the young African leaders set to play a major role in the economic development of the continent.

Achumile took a career break in 2009 and came to the Business School to undertake The Leeds MBA. He then went onto work for Prudential and has since build a successful global career with the organisation, including working across Europe and Africa. He is passionate about the development of Africa and the need to drive financial inclusion in developing countries. 

The Choiseul 100 Africa is an annual study carried out independently by the Institut Choiseul. The Institut Choiseul is an independent think-tank that organises a range of prestigious events and informal meetings as well as identifies talent through its annual Choiseul 100, and the Choiseul 100 Africa.
