Leeds MBA study tour 2022
This year Leeds MBA students visited France for their International Study Tour, including the opportunity to visit Audencia Business School in Nantes.
Each year Leeds MBA students have the opportunity to take part in an international study tour, which includes visits to local companies and partner business schools. In June, 37 students took part in the opportunity to visit Audencia Business School in Nantes, France, taking part in a series of company visits and talks over the week.
The MBA study tour had two tracks available – Innovation and Sustainability - for students to choose from based on their study backgrounds and preference. Each track had a bespoke itinerary which explored the topics more deeply to enable greater specialisation.
The Innovation Management and Design Thinking track was developed by Professor Nil Gulari, Assistant Professor of Design Thinking, and Dan Evans, Professor of Innovation, to enhance students understanding of the theory and practicalities of innovation management.
Running parallel, the Sustainability Track aimed to provide participants with insights into CSR and business ethics through similar collaborative projects and workshops, and visits to local and multinational corporations.
Developed by Emma Avetisyan and Jennifer Goodman, both Professors of Organisation Studies and Ethics, the programme included lectures surrounding SDGs, Environmental Health, Technology and Ethics, Doughnut Economics, and future trends.
Alongside the two programmes, students were provided with the opportunity to network during the welcome dinner with Audencia Business School academics, and to explore the city through a walking tour and visit to nearby village Trentemoult.
