Business School helps local businesses to grow
In an article published by the Yorkshire Post on 5 May, Director of External Engagement Sarah Underwood talks about how the Business School recently helped a number of local business leaders.
Within the article, titled ‘Yorkshire businesses get Help to Grow at University of Leeds’, Professor Underwood discusses the latest group of business leaders to take part in the Help to Grow programme and how the Business School is keen to build strong relationships with local business.
Professor Underwood is quoted as saying:
What’s important to us is that we make a real difference to these individuals, their businesses and the local economy. We want to form meaningful long term partnerships with small business owners in the region, and work with them for years to come.
Help to Grow is a 12 week-programme delivered by Leeds University Business School and accredited by the Small Business Charter. The programme combines a practical curriculum, with 1:1 support from a business mentor, peer-learning sessions and an alumni network.
