WBRC research accepted by the 2023 EAWOP Congress

Members of WBRC have 13 research presentations accepted by the 2023 EAWOP Congress, the bi-annual conference of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology.

Members of WBRC (Workplace Behaviour Research Centre) have 13 research presentations accepted by the 2023 EAWOP Congress, the bi-annual conference of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology, one of the prestigious conferences in organizational psychology. Here are some highlights of presentations led by WBRC members. 

Matthew Davis has organised a symposium on socio-technical systems principles and the changing world of work. He and the research team of the adapting offices project funded by ESRC will share their ideas for applying socio-technical systems principles to the design of the future workplace. Barbara Körner will present a study investigating the role of overqualification in shaping daily work behaviour. Chia-Huei Wu will share an investigation regarding newcomer career consultation and supervisor mentoring. Qin Zhou will present a study about presenteeism.  

Our doctoral researchers will also share their work. Nedaa Al-Barwani will share her study on workplace ostracism in the Sultanate of Oman. Nora Berghoff will present her investigation on impostorism. Sarah Holland will present her studies on the implications of working outdoors on office workers. Afshan Iqbal organizes a symposium on the COVID-19 pandemic and remote work and will present her doctoral studies on the topic.
