Research interests
For the last several years I have been interested in distributional analysis. Essentially, I research the statistical operationalisation of concepts and ethical principles pertaining to human development, agency and capabilities, as well as distributional justice. More specifically, I have been involved in proposals for the statistical measurement of different concepts of poverty, inequality, discrimination, female empowerment, subjective wellbeing, social mobility, and social stratification.
More broadly I am also interested in development economics, economic history and public economics.
Student education
I teach modules and supervise students at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
I also supervise PhD students.
I have experience as both internal and external examiner of PhD theses.
