Profile

Sana Zouari currently holds the position of Post Doctoral Reserach Fellow at Leeds University Business School and works with the Credit Management Research Centre. Prior to joining the University of Leeds, she worked as an Adjunct Professor at SKEMA Business School and as a Teaching Assistant at EDHEC Business School. 

During her PhD, she has the opportunity to be visiting PhD-student at SKEMA Business School’s Lille campus after obtaining the Eiffel Scholarship provided by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. 

Research interests

Sana’s academic journey primarily focuses on Access to Finance. More precisely, her research could be divided into two streams: Banking and Finance and SME Finance. Her investigations encompass an understanding of how socially responsible banks enhance access to financial services from an evolutionary perspective. Further, her research around SME Finance explores the problems that small firms face accessing investment capital and increasing their productivity. In this line, she is currently working on ESRC productivity project: Understanding how constraints on access to finance and under-investment impact on productivity growth in smaller firms-with a focus on equity finance ( venture capital and private equity).
