Matthew is a PhD student in the Accounting and Finance Department at Leeds University Business School, where he has been studying since October 2025.
His research focuses on banking under climate change and political influences.
As a professional, he previously worked at HSBC for over six years, specialising in international banking operations and gaining extensive experience in cross-border settlements, foreign exchange, and risk control.
