London alumni workshop navigates the future of work
The Business School organised an alumni workshop and networking event in London on Wednesday 22 November 2023, where alumni enjoyed an evening of discussion and networking around the future of work.
At the interactive workshop, Dr Matthew Davis, a specialist on hybrid working and future workplace, delivered a captivating presentation that delved into the intricacies of navigating the evolving landscape of modern work environments and hybrid working practices. His research highlighted effective hybrid working and what employers need to consider to ensure hybrid working is not only right for the business, but meaningful for employees. His research offered valuable insights that resonated with the audience and inspired them to think and optimise their own approaches to hybrid working.
Following the workshop, attendees had the opportunity to connect with fellow alumni, share their experiences and career highlights, and discuss how the insights from Dr Matthew Davis’ workshop could be applied in their professional careers. Discussions filled the room as attendees rekindled old friendships, established new connections and shared their memories of their time at Leeds.
The event blended cutting-edge research with the warmth of shared experiences, and attendees left the evening with increased knowledge on effective hybrid working, and a renewed sense of connection to Leeds and their fellow alumni. It showcased the impact of a Leeds education and the strength of the university's alumni network.
The Business School looks forward to hosting similar events in the future to strengthen our alumni community in London and across the UK, so keep checking our website for our latest events, news and updates and see how you can get involved.
