Paying your fees

When to pay: You can choose to pay your fees in full in September, or pay two equal instalments in September and January.

Tuition fee deposit: If you need a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK the University requires you to pay a tuition fee deposit before being issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). The tuition fee deposit will be deducted from your programme tuition fee and shown on your CAS.

Full-time MBA Scholarships

We offer a number of generous scholarships to deserving candidates for the full-time Leeds MBA. 

Full-time MBA Excellence Scholarship 2019/20

What is it?
Leeds University Business School offers a number of part-tuition fee scholarships for particularly deserving candidates for the full-time MBA. The amount of the scholarship is variable and will be assessed by the Programme Director, based on the extent to which the candidates satisfies the entry criteria (see below).

Who qualifies?
Particularly deserving applicants to the full-time MBA starting in September 2019. Candidates will be assessed by their responses on their application form and their performance at interview with the MBA Programme Director.

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:

  • outstanding academic achievement 
  • career progression
  • their potential to contribute to the full-time MBA programme

How do I apply?
All candidates who are offered a place on the full-time MBA will be automatically considered for this scholarship. You do not need to complete a separate application for the scholarship.

When will I find out?
Successful applicants can expect to be notified of their scholarship award following a successful interview with the MBA Director, and within two weeks of receiving notification of their conditional or unconditional offer for the full-time MBA. Successful applicants must accept their scholarship within two weeks of receiving the scholarship offer.

Full-time MBA Americas Excellence Scholarship 2019/20

What is it?
One £13,500 scholarship towards the cost of tuition fees.

Who qualifies?
A particularly deserving applicant from the Americas* wishing to undertake the full-time MBA in September 2019. Candidates will be assessed by their responses on their application form and their performance at interview with the MBA Programme Director.

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:

  • outstanding academic achievement 
  • career progression
  • their potential to contribute to the full-time MBA programme
  • understanding of the economic and business challenges facing their home country.

How do I apply?
Candidates who are eligible for this scholarship will be automatically considered based on their application and performance at interview. You are not required to make a separate application for the scholarship. We allocate scholarships on a rolling basis throughout the application cycle. We recommended to make your application as early as possible if you wish to be considered for this scholarship. 

When will I find out?
Successful applicants can expect to be notified of their scholarship award following a successful interview with the MBA Director, and within two weeks of receiving notification of their conditional or unconditional offer for the full-time MBA. Successful applicants must accept their scholarship within two weeks of receiving the scholarship offer.

 

* applicants must be a national of one of the countries within North America, Central or South America.

Full-time MBA EEA Excellence Scholarship 2019/20

What is it?
One £13,500 scholarship towards the cost of tuition fees.

Who qualifies?
A particularly deserving applicant from the EEA* wishing to undertake the full-time MBA in September 2019. Candidates will be assessed by their responses on their application form and their performance at interview with the MBA Programme Director.

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:

  • outstanding academic achievement 
  • career progression
  • their potential to contribute to the full-time MBA programme
  • understanding of the economic and business challenges facing their home country.

How do I apply?
Candidates who are eligible for this scholarship will be automatically considered based on their application and performance at interview. Leeds Alumni Bursary and Excellence Scholarship

There are two financial awards for University of Leeds alumni joining the Business School:

Leeds Alumni Bursary

What is it?

The University of Leeds Alumni Bursary offers 10% tuition fee reduction for self or partially funded students* for any Business School Masters degree.

Who qualifies?

Graduates of the University of Leeds (or an affiliated institution*) are entitled to a 10% bursary towards tuition fees. Find out more about eligibility and how to apply for this bursary.

The bursary is calculated based on the net fee remaining i.e. after other scholarships and awards have been deducted.

Graduates of the University of Leeds (or an affiliated institution*) with a First Class undergraduate degree are also eligible for the Leeds University Business School Alumni Excellence Scholarship (details below). Fully funded students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Leeds University Business School Alumni Excellence Scholarship

What is it?

An additional 10% scholarship award towards the fees for the Executive MBA. 

Who qualifies?

Applicants who meet at least one of the criteria below.

  • University of Leeds graduates who achieved a First Class award in their undergraduate degree. See qualifying awards
  • Evidence of having successfully completed continuous professional development and training to date.
  • Evidence of significant professional career progression to date.

Applicants who qualify for this scholarship are also entitled to receive the Leeds Alumni Bursary (details above) resulting in a total award of 20%. The scholarship is calculated based on the net fee remaining i.e. after other scholarships and awards have been deducted (the 10% alumni bursary and 10% alumni scholarship are added together and 20% is deducted from the net fee).

Fully funded students are not eligible for this scholarship.

How do I apply?

All eligible applicants with an offer for the Executive MBA beginning in October 2016 will automatically be considered for this award based upon their application form and performance at interview. 

When will I find out?

You will be advised of whether you have been successful at the point of offer.

UK Government Postgraduate Loan

UK and EU students may be able to apply for a UK government-backed loan of up to £10,609 to fund a Masters degree starting in 2018. Applications should be made through Student Finance England. Find out more
