Dr Greenwood talks to BBC Radio Wales about the UK steel industry

On 20 November Professor Ian Greenwood commented on news that TATA Steel is cutting 3,000 jobs in Europe on BBC Radio Wales.

Dr Greenwood is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations who has been engaged in a number of research projects connected to the metals sector.

“UK Government must intervene. The steel industry is crucially important to the local economies, to the UK economy, I would suggest, to manufacturing in general, and there needs to be a powerful relationship between the state and steel industry.”
