Awards presented at annual Leaders in Residence Networking Event
November saw the annual Leaders in Residence networking event – a fantastic opportunity for students to network with Leaders on the programme.
This year, for the first time, awards were given out for Leader of the Year and Student of the Year during the event.
Leader of the Year was awarded to Susan Paul, a Leader who has volunteered her time, skills and expertise with students for a number of years. Her nomination highlighted Susan’s holistic approach to education, coaching and personal development and her journey and leadership style being a source of inspiration to students.
Student of the Year Award was awarded to final year Management student, Cameron Munro, whose engagement and dedication to his personal development had really impressed the Leader in Residence who nominated him. On winning the award, Cameron commented “Winning this award is as much a testament to the amazing Leaders in Residence as it is my own effort. Seeing so many industry professionals care about the future of business talent at Leeds is a brilliant thing – It's the passing of wisdom and life experience that makes all the difference to young people.”
The Leaders in Residence programme celebrated its 10-year anniversary last year and continues to go from strength to strength.
