Centre for Financial Technology and Innovation

Centre for Financial Technology and Innovation
Fintech is one of the most significant developments in financial services since the introduction of the internet. Bringing together advances in technology such as AI or new technology such as distributed ledgers and smart contracts, it offers the potential to revolutionise finance at both a global and local scale.
The Centre for Financial Technologies and Innovation supports the development and application of new financial technologies (fintech). Bringing together key experts from across the University of Leeds the centre works to tackle sector-wide challenges, simultaneously improving social equality, financial inclusion and economic productivity.

The newly established Centre for Financial Technology and Innovation (CFTI) draws on the technological and financial services expertise that exists within the University of Leeds to conduct meaningful, multidisciplinary research.
We support the adoption and implementation of fintech locally and nationally in this dynamic and fast-moving sector.
