Research by Professor Nick Wilson in Yorkshire Post

On Thursday 14 June, research conducted by Head of Accounting and Finance and Director of the Credit Management Research Centre, Professor Nick Wilson, was featured in the Yorkshire Post.

The article titled ‘Private equity could be ‘as good as it gets’ to take firms to next level’ looks at the options available for businesses wanting to grow.

Professor Wilson’s research looked at the role private equity can play in driving business productivity in the North of England. He commented: ‘companies outperformed “benchmarks in productivity growth by as much as 9 per cent’. The results further showed productivity outperformance of “private equity backed companies across the UK, but has proved to be the strongest in the northern regions.”
