James E. Lynch India and South Asia Business Centre is pleased to invite you to the Make in India seminar. The event is held in collaboration with the Consulate General of India at Birmingham.
Make in India is a flagship programme of the Government of India and was launched on Sept 25, 2014. It aims at promoting India as an investment destination and a global hub for manufacturing, design and innovation. Twenty five sectors have been identified under the programme. These include Information Technology (IT), Automobiles, Biotechnology, Renewable Energy, Thermal Power, Construction, Roads and Highways, Defence Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Tourism and Hospitality, Food Processing, Mining, Chemicals, Aviation, and Textiles.
The programme also aims at improving the Ease of Doing Business in India. A landmark event titled ‘Make in India Week’ was recently organised in Mumbai from February 13-18, 2016 and was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. The weeklong event offered foreign investors and businesses unprecedented access, insights and opportunities to showcase, connect and collaborate with young Indian entrepreneurs, industry leaders, academicians and government officials.
This event is open to all businesses including small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) of the UK.
