Research interests
Panagiotis research interest is at the intersection of Marketing, Operations, and Finance. He empirically explores the relationship between product quality and economic factors and he also has an interest in the informational value of user-generated content as a source that reduces information asymmetries and captures true product quality. In this area, Panagiotis investigates the impact of several unexplored behavioral and cultural biases and their effect on consumers’ perceptions about product quality, by combining theories of innovation diffusion, quality management, consumer behavior, and social psychology. His work also explores the value relevance and predictive ability of that source of information for firms and different categories of stakeholders (investors, customers, employees).
Panagiotis research has attracted interest from several media outlets in the past. Among others his work and/or opinion has been featured at: New York Times, Moneyish, Yahoo!news, World Economic Forum, businessadvice, The conversation, HR Zone, Independent, MoneyWeek, Onrec, HR Grapevine, Quartz at Work, Esquire (Spanish).
