Panagiotis is an Associate Professor in Business Analytics. Before joining the Centre for Decision Research he was employed as an Associate Tutor and Research Associate at Norwich Business School and the Center for Competition Policy. Prior to entering academia, Panagiotis gained valuable experience working in several roles the Banking and Insurance sector for 12 years.

Research interests
Panagiotis research interest is at the intersection of Marketing, Operations, and Finance. He empirically explores the relationship between product quality and economic factors and he also has an interest in the informational value of user-generated content as a source that reduces information asymmetries and captures true product quality. In this area, Panagiotis investigates the impact of several unexplored behavioral and cultural biases and their effect on consumers’ perceptions of product quality, by combining theories of innovation diffusion, quality management, consumer behavior, and social psychology. His work also explores the value relevance and predictive ability of that source of information for firms and different categories of stakeholders (investors, customers, employees).
Panagiotis work has been published in top journals such as the Safety Science, Public Opinions Quarterly, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production and Operations Management, Economics Letters, Tourism Management, Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Expert Systems with Applications, Current Issues in Hospitality and Journal of Air Transport Management. Panagiotis research has also appeared in top academic conferences in the areas of Operations or Marketing such as in EurOMA, EMAC, INFORMS, ISMS
Panagiotis research has attracted interest from several media outlets in the past. Among others, his work and/or opinion has been featured at: New York Times, Moneyish, Yahoo!news, World Economic Forum, businessadvice, The conversation, HR Zone, Independent, MoneyWeek, Onrec, HR Grapevine, Quartz at Work, Esquire (Spanish). His published work on Public Opinion Quarterly and Expert Systems with Applications have been adapted from Glassdoor to release an employee confidence index for predicting the US economy.
Panagiotis has been nominated for the REA-EC (Research Excellence Award- Early Career) and REA-HIP (Research Excellence Award- Best Journal Article with High Impact Potential) categories for the Dean’s Awards for Research Excellence Scheme for 2021-22 and for the REA-EC (Research Excellence Award- Early Career) for 2022-23.
