Professor Shahla Ghobadi has been appointed to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Strategic Information Systems
Shahla Ghobadi been appointed to the senior editorial board of the Journal of Strategic Information Systems (JSIS). Since its inception in 1991, JSIS has been a leading international outlet for research in Information Systems, with a strong focus on the strategic issues that shape the intersection of technology and business. JSIS welcomes research that:
- Investigates the changing nature of business in the context of emerging IT.
- Discusses the justification and evaluation of information systems.
- Explores the organisational implications of IT.
- Analyzes how organisations have been transformed through astute management and application of IT.
Professor Ghobadi shared her reflection on the journal:
JSIS has a very high impact factor of 8.7. It hosted one of the first field-level review articles on Strategic Signalling and Awards, where I and Daniel Robey from Georgia State University investigated the theoretical contributions of a decade of AIS Best Publications Awards. I believe this reflects the journal's deep interest in strategic aspects of technology, as well as its role in driving the strategic evolution of the field. The journal’s openness to interdisciplinary research and critical perspectives makes it a highly recommended platform for scholars aiming to publish their best work. I strongly encourage colleagues to consider submitting top-quality research to JSIS and to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to this influential journal.
