Global Community Bursary

How to apply

You will be automatically considered for a Business School Global Community Bursary when we review your application for your Masters course. Those selected will progress to the final stage and will be invited to complete an application. Through this application, you will be asked to provide us with more details of how you are financing your studies, your household circumstances and your aims and ambitions relating to your course choice. The application is the basis for deciding on the final awards.

Full eligibility criteria

Scholarships will be awarded to talented and ambitious students who want to make a positive impact on the economy and society, but who face financial barriers.

To be considered for the bursary you must:

  • be classified as an international student for fee purposes
  • have applied for an eligible Business Masters programme* for 2025/26 before 20th June 2025 and be holding an offer
  • come from a low-income country or from a lower-income household in a country underrepresented at the Business School
  • demonstrate an excellent academic track record, and be predicted to achieve or have achieved a Bachelors degree with a 2:1 (hons) or equivalent
  • show how your background and life experiences have encouraged you to make an impact on your community
  • demonstrate how Masters study at the Business School will help you achieve your short and long-term career objectives
  • not hold any other scholarship or bursary contributing to the cost of living.

The bursary is conditional on meeting all offer conditions, being granted a visa and registering for the course initially applied for academic year 2025/26.

Awards will not be deferred if holders cannot commence their studies in 2025/26.

Awards will not be extended should a student need to extend their studies beyond the standard 12-month study period.
