Three senior business leaders shared their insights this week with our MBA students in a panel discussion on some of the key management and leadership challenges of the future.
The panel members were Paul Grace, Head of Customer Banking, Leeds City Region for Yorkshire Bank, Pauline Hogg, Senior HR Director for Arla Foods UK and Jamie Thompson, Managing Director of MTa learning.
In a wide-ranging conversation chaired by MBA programme director James Roberts, the panel discussed emerging technology trends, and how these will affect the way we lead and manage in the future. They shared their advice on how to keep up with the latest management thinking, and the importance of maintaining a learning mindset.
James commented: “It’s incredibly valuable for our students to hear a variety of perspectives on this topic. Just like the expert panel on entrepreneurship we hosted in March, this event is part of our commitment to bring experienced practitioners into the classroom to enhance the student experience”.
The three panellists are Leaders in Residence at Leeds University Business School. The Leaders in Residence are a network of more than 80 experienced professionals, coordinated by the Management Division. They volunteer their time to share their business expertise and insights with our students, through mentoring discussions and networking sessions.
