EQUIS accreditation success for the Business School

Leeds University Business School has once again secured its prestigious EQUIS accreditation for an additional five years, as conferred by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).

This notable recognition reaffirms the School's status as a leading international business school.

EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) is the leading global accreditation system for assessing, enhancing, and accrediting higher education institutions in management and business administration and is widely acknowledged by prospective students, faculty, employers, corporate clients, and media.

The Accreditation Board highlighted the School’s strong external governance, particularly the International Advisory Board, and the support from leadership:

“Their support and participation in the implementation of the strategic plan is remarkable, including a strong endorsement of the main vision and guidelines outlined by the School. The strategic process and its participative approach including not just academics but also staff and students, is also remarkable and directs the School in a promising direction. The strategic plan includes 21 strategic projects, and it is steered with strong leadership and energy by the Executive Dean Julia Bennell.”

Executive Dean Professor Julia Bennell commented: “I am really pleased that Leeds University Business School has been given EQUIS reaccreditation for a further five years.

Our strategy for developing the Business School, underpinned by our culture and values, was strongly endorsed by the peer review team. All our staff demonstrated the strength of our community and strategic focus.

“The reaccreditation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of excellence in business education and research.”

Leeds University Business School holds accreditations from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA), positioning it among a select group of business schools worldwide to be accredited by these three bodies.
