Profile

My ESRC funded PhD research project focuses on gender segregation and the intersection of social inequalities in vocational education and training. I am currently research young peoples strategies for career formation in highly gender segregated sectors. Prior to joining LUBS, I worked as a teacher and manager in the Further Education sector for fourteen years, managing a diverse range of provision including 14-16 vocational, International Baccalaureate Diploma and English, maths and learning support.

Student education

My teaching experience covers undergraduate and Masters level in gender and employment, training and skills development, economic and labour market institutions, and diversity management. In addition, I supervise MA and undergraduate dissertations and act as a personal tutor for undergraduate and Masters students.
